I never set out chasing titles or trying to be the one in charge. What has always mattered most to me is building trust, being someone who takes the time to understand where people come from, what they value, and what they need to feel supported. Over time, I started to realize that many of those in higher power are detached from this perspective and prefer the spotlight over genuine representation. My goal in these current roles, and any I ever take, is to serve in community-driven aspects that truly help those I am fortunate to represent.
At the heart of everything I do is a commitment to building spaces where people feel like they belong. I believe in meeting others with empathy, in taking the time to truly see them, in finding the common ground in clashing ideologies, and in turning that understanding into action that makes life truly better, whether that means feeling safer, more included, or simply more hopeful. That is the kind of change I want to be part of, and the kind of leader I try to be every day.
Above all, I believe that public service should always favor people, not just those with money, influence, or power, but everyday families and communities who deserve to be heard and supported. As you scroll through the lists of positions and volunteering roles, know that they are not about the power or spotlight, but rather the community-driven determination.
leadership Roles
Senator: The Ohio State University Student Gov.
August 2024- Present
As a Student Senator for Ohio State's Undergraduate Student Government, I represent more than 30,000 off-campus and commuter students whose needs often fall through the cracks. I focus on transportation, campus safety, and making sure the unique experiences of students like us actually guide university decisions. I spend my time listening to concerns that rarely make the spotlight, building trust with groups across campus, and working on policies that make life here more practical and welcoming. It is important to me that anyone I represent feels there is someone truly paying attention to their day-to-day challenges, willing to advocate for change that matters beyond the surface.
Founder: Undergraduate Latiné Student Council OSU
Fall 2025
I plan to introduce the Undergraduate Latiné Student Council inside USG because I feel that our voices deserve a permanent seat at the table of Ohio State University politics. I aim to build a council that brings Latiné students together, strengthens leadership, and pushes forward the conversations and changes our community needs most. It is a chance to make sure culture, heritage, and lived experiences are woven directly into how our university grows. This work means creating something sustainable that will keep opening doors long after I am gone, grounded in understanding, pride, and the push for a more equitable campus.
Ohio State Co-National Liaison: Kappa Omega Alpha
April 2025- Present
I am one of the proud founding members who aim to introduce KOA, the leading Public Policy and Service Fraternity, into the University scene in the State of Ohio, starting in our very own OSU. Helping establish KOA at Ohio State has shown me what it means to build a space from the ground up with people who share a drive for public service and policy. As Co-National Liaison and Co-VP of Expansion, I help connect our chapter to broader goals while making sure what we build here truly serves students. It matters to me that members feel supported to explore tough topics, learn from each other’s backgrounds, and leave more prepared to lead with both skill and empathy. For us, this is about creating a real community — where ideas and lived experiences come together to spark change.
Executive Board: Mexican Student Association
April 2025- Present
As the Sponsor Relations Chair through MXSA, I work on building partnerships that fund cultural events, bring in speakers, and open up pathways to internships and resources. My aim is to create opportunities where our community can celebrate who we are, share our stories, and build connections that last. Growing up, I knew how powerful it could be to see your heritage recognized and valued. That is why I focus on making sure students here have places that feel truly theirs, spaces that honor where we come from and help us keep moving forward together.
Communications Team: Buckeye Catholic
February 2025- Present
Being part of Buckeye Catholic keeps me grounded in faith and gives me a way to help reach younger Catholics like myself through spaces we already spend time in. On the communications team, I help run social media and craft messages that feel genuine, so people see something familiar, feel drawn in, and maybe even start thinking about their faith in a new way. It matters to me that we build community in places our generation actually hangs out, and show that church can be as open, welcoming, and real as we are.
volunteering
FIFA Club World Cup:
I volunteered for the first edition of FIFA's prestigious new tournament within the ceremonies team, helping welcome international fans and players. It was a reminder of how sports can unite so many different people around shared excitement. (June 2025)
Ohio Latino Affairs Commission:
Supporting Latino Affairs events gave me a chance to help bridge that gap between fellow Latinos like myself and the political officials that represent us. (April 2025)
Ohio State Center for Belonging & Social Change:
It was bittersweet to be a volunteer of the planning committee for CBSC's last ever event before its sunset the following week. I was able to help plan the Leadership & Empowerment Summit for students who felt unseen, and help address key issues about the effects of intersectionality and how to overcome them. (February 2025)
Community Refugee & Immigrant Services Ohio:
Volunteering with refugee families showed me how powerful a warm introduction can be. As a child of Immigrants myself, I felt blessed to help families in similar situations to mine. (February 2024)
Legal Aid Society of Columbus:
Being able to volunteer for LASC's expungement clinic helped me see how often communities get left out of vital services, and the power that legal representation can have. (Ocotober 2023)
Ohio & Franklin County Democratic Party:
I help with outreach and community events, making sure people feel informed and ready to participate in decisions that impact their neighborhoods. This is about building trust, one conversation at a time. (2023+)
Stonewall Pride Festival Columbus:
I have pitched in at events that create safer, affirming spaces for LGBTQ+ people in our city. It matters that everyone feels seen, no exceptions. (June 2023 & 2024)
